My name is Dominique Santos, made in the Philippines. I moved to the West Coast of the United States in 2012. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Literature from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila in 2010. Following that, I completed my Master’s degree in Creative Writing at San Francisco State University in 2017, although my academic journey began at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. During my studies, my primary focus was on poetry. I suffer from a really bad case of writers block.

I currently reside in the Bay Area of California, where I earn a living by writing emails. In my free time, I savor lattes, explore the urban landscape through hiking, indulge in people watching, immerse myself in museums, and occasionally partake in the use of cannabinoids. I also prioritize staying active through regular workouts.

During my off hours, I collect vinyl records, immerse myself in the world of electric guitars & effects pedals, and indulge in art museum. I relish the experience of attending rock shows whenever I can. In terms of reading, I’m an avid fan of speculative fiction and non-fiction. I keep my mind engaged by consuming a substantial amount of video essays, horror movies, and cartoons/anime. I like to keep myself sane on the weekdays.
